Check out Some Sneak Peeks from the knit.purl Spring Photoshoot
I hope all of you in the U.S. had a lovely holiday this week! I spent a lot of time with family, cooking, eating, and knitting. My parents' house was full of dogs, people, and discussions about knitting, such as today's: "Shoulder saddles are really pointless in a boatneck sweater, right?" I also shared some sneak peeks from the knit.purl Spring 2015 photoshoot that I worked on last week in Denver. It was freezing in Colorado, but we stayed warm and comfy in the photo studio and got some great shots. The projects for the spring issue are really strong, I'm really looking forward to sharing them with you once the issue goes live in the springtime. Here are a few behind the scenes shots:
You won't be able to pick up this issue til March of 2015, but in the meantime you should get a copy of the fall 2014 issue if you haven't already. We have great sales going on right now, with more to come on Cyber Monday. We put together a video about the Fall issue, you can check that out here, and the full preview here. One of my favorite projects from the fall issue is the Diamond Motif Scarf by Rebecca Bussineau. It's a cool modular knit in two colors that create tessellating motifs. It's such a striking design; it's on my list for after the holidays…in bright colors for wishful winter dreaming of spring.
We'll be back next week with more wintery knitting fun, but I hope you find some warmth and color this weekend as we ease out of the holiday and into the quiet before the next storm. I leave you with with a picture from my Thanksgiving: a dog, a knitting project, and a spinning wheel at my mom's house. Cheers and safe travels.
