Brioche Chic – New Video Sneak Peek!
Have you seen Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark’s book Brioche Chic, which came out late last year?
It’s full of sophisticated, wearable, brioche stitch patterns for both men and women. I love that you can start out with smaller accessory projects and then tackle a larger sweater project once you feel comfortable with the techniques.
The best part is, Brioche Chic is on sale (50% off!!) during our Virtual Summer Tent Sale, which runs through July 10!
While brioche knitting and brioche knitting with cables look stunning, the techniques can take a little bit of getting used to. If you’re on the learning curve, be sure to check out Mercedes’ previous video, Brioche Knitting Basics to brush up on your basic techniques. Senior Project Editor Joni Coniglio also recently posted a very thorough and helpful blog with a video tutorial on the topics of grafting brioche knitting and using a provisional cast-on.
With all this brioche buzz, I’m so excited that a new video with Mercedes is in the works. It covers more advanced techniques that will help you complete the projects in Brioche Chic. Since Mercedes taught a successful class on the topic of brioche cables at Yarn Fest earlier this year, I couldn’t wait to get her in the studio to film these techniques so we can share them with everyone who couldn’t make it to the event. Mercedes shows you that even though brioche knitting with cables is a little more advanced on the knitting spectrum, if you take it step by step you really can do it.

Happy knitting, and don’t forget to grab your half-off copy of Brioche Chic during the Virtual Summer Tent Sale!
