Braided Riding Jacket

Women's experienced cardigan with cables, bobbles and V-neck. The lower body peplum is worked in one piece. The upper body is worked in two pieces—a right sleeve/upper body and left sleeve/upper body, worked from cuff to center back and then seamed together at the center upper back.

Finished Size 33½ (36½, 39½, 42½, 44½, 47½)" bust circumference, buttoned and including 2½" front band. Jacket shown measures 36½", modeled with 1–2" positive ease.
Yarn Tahki Tweedy Alpaca (60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 7% acrylic, 3% viscose; 81 yd [74 m]/50 g): #013 olive, 19 (21, 23, 24, 26, 28) skeins.
Needles Edging, sleeves, and upper body—size 10 (6 mm): 32" circular (cir). Peplum—size 9 (5.5 mm): 32" cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge 15 sts and 22 rows = 4" in St st on smaller needles; 16 sts and 22 rows = 4" in rib and bobble patt on smaller needles; 19 sts and 28 rows = 4" in wave cable patt on larger needles; 22 sts and 15 rows = 4" in wrapped st on larger needles; 34 (68) sts of Front (Back) Cable from charts measure about 6¼ (12½)" wide on smaller needles; 68 rows of both cable charts measure 12¼" high on smaller needles.
