Beginning Pin Loom Weaving: A Kit
Oh, happy day! I am so excited—I ordered the Pin Loom Woven Bunting Kit from craft.girl 2015, and it arrived today! I had almost forgotten about it, so it was a wonderful surprise on this gloomy Thursday.
The Pin Loom Woven Bunting project was designed by Interweave’s own Christina Garton, who is the assistant editor for Handwoven magazine. It’s a simple project, perfect for beginners (like me), and only requires one skein of Schoppel-Wolle Crazy Zaunberball. And the fun part is that you could get any one of six different, gorgeous colorways. This is the one that was in my box:
Along with the yarn, a copy of craft.girl is included in the kit, as well as brand-new Zoom Loom that you use to weave the squares.
I have a lot of knitting to do right now, but I’m chomping at the bit to start this project. I think the finished object will look really great in my bedroom above my yarn cabinet. Maybe this is a holiday break project! I’ve never tried pin loom weaving before—let alone any type of weaving—so this I think this is a fantastic place to start. Get your kit today and weave along with me!
