A cropped silhouette packs big design: A wild riot of embroidery and stranded colorwork colors. Using colors within one rosy family keeps the effect rich and ornate but surprisingly wearable.

Finished Size: 35 (40 ½, 46, 51)” bust circumference, buttoned. Sweater shown measures 40 ½”, modeled with plenty of ease.
Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Wool (100% wool; 135 yd [123 m]/100 g): #61 rhubarb (MC; medium purple), 4 (5, 6, 7) skeins; #O rose (A; medium pink), #69 hibiscus (B; red-orange), #49 henna (C; terra-cotta), #68 citric (D; lime), #32 gasoline (E; grayed lavender), #M Bing cherry (F; dark red), #48 cherry (G; medium red), #S magenta (H; dark purple), #01 Hollywood pink (I; light pink), and #17 cheek (J; pale peach), 1 skein each. Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 20 rows = 4″ in color-work patts from charts on larger needles; 14 ½ sts and 19 rows = 4″ in solid-color St-st on larger needles.
Needles: Body and sleeves-size 9 (5.5 mm). Edging-size 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
