5 Places to Wear Your Wildflower Necklaces this Summer

I find it refreshing to come across knitting patterns that utilize the craft in an atypical way. The uniqueness of the Wildflower Necklace project piqued my interest when I first saw it largely because of that. The only knitting the project requires is to create I-cords, which you then braid together in one of two different ways. So, with a tiny bit of knitting, some braiding, and glueing, you end up with a gorgeous knit necklace. It’s a great project for a beginner knitter who may not have the confidence to knit a sweater, but would like something they can wear or give ASAP.

Another thing I love about this project is that it barely uses any yarn. It’s made with Knit Collage Wildflower yarn, and you can make a necklace or two with less than one skein of the stuff. The flower prints of the different colorways accent the simplicity of the pattern perfectly.

Get a little girly this summer, make your Wildflower Necklace, and behold its versatility as you wear it everywhere you go. Without further ado, here are 5 places you should wear your Wildflower Necklace this summer!

1. Coachella

Okay, I’m kidding, mostly because Coachella is over (until next year!). But there are still plenty of music festivals and concerts, large and small, to attend yet this summer—especially outdoors! Rock your necklace with a maxi dress or a tunic and jean shorts.

2. The Beach

The cotton fabric necklace is the perfect accessory to wear with your favorite solid-color bathing suit, and for after-dark activities like a beach bonfire. It also makes for an interesting neck tan line!

3. The Library

Summer is such a great time to slow down and soak up as many books as possible. Local libraries also run programs and events in the summer for adults and kids, so it can be a really fun place to spend some time out of the heat in the warm months. Get your bookworm on and look good doin’ it!

4. On a Blanket in the Park

One of the best places to hang out in the sun and shade simultaneously is under a tree in your city park, on a blanket, with activities like your knitting WIP, the books you picked up at the library, or a picnic. Add a little summer flair with the Wildflower Necklace.

5. On a Roadtrip

Who doesn’t love a road trip in the summer? Living out of your car for a week or two is just good for the soul. Don’t bother packing loads of jewelry—just take one of each color of your Wildflower Necklaces and you have versatility at your fingertips.

There you have it! Those are my top 5 places to wear the Wildlower Necklaces this season.

One last note about the necklaces: They are also Wildflower Headbands! If you opt to tie your necklace rather than attach the closure clasp, the length is easily adjustable to fit your noggin and you will instantly become a Wildflower Queen.

Where will you wear your Wildflower Necklace this summer?
