How About a Win? Enter Our Jewelry Competition!

Winning a jewelry competition is exciting, and ego- and career-boosting, and sometimes the prizes are pretty sweet, too. You can find all the details about and enter Interweave’s Jewelry, Bead and Gem Arts Awards now through July 1, 2020.

Show us what you can do because we want to show everyone else just how amazing, thoughtful, fun, beautiful, and moving the jewelry world can be. If you haven’t entered or even started thinking about it yet, this gives you enough time to develop, execute, and photograph designs, but don’t delay. Now’s the time to pull out your sketchbooks or sketch that idea you’ve had in mind for a while or go for something altogether new. Commit to the piece you really want to make because we want to see what gets you jazzed. We want your most creative and very best, just as long as it relates to jewelry making in some way.

How open is that?

• Any medium or combination of media is acceptable.
• Divisions are organized by type of object: Jewelry, Non-Bead; Beads; Gems; and Non-Jewelry or Non-Jewelry-Use Objects.
• Criteria are Visual Appeal and Impact; Originality; Execution; and for Jewelry only, Wearability.

Now for those prizes . . .

• $1,000 to one Grand Prize Winner
• $250 each to the four Division Winners
• Honorable Mention to ten additional entrants
• One-year subscription to Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist or Beadwork to each winner and honorable mention
• Winners may appear in Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist, Beadwork, both, online, or all three.

Entries must be submitted online as digital images of executed designs. Upload images to our online entry site only. Send no objects. Send no paper. Because all entries will be judged solely as digital images, be sure to get an excellent image of your finished work. For the purposes of this jewelry competition, until you’ve done that, your work isn’t really finished.
