National Craft Month: Pass on Your Passion with Jewelry Making Daily and Other Interweave Craft Communities

March is National Craft Month!

All of us at Jewelry Making Daily, Beading Daily, and other Interweave craft communities Cloth Paper Scissors Today, Knitting Daily, and Crochet Me are committed to "passing on our passion" for crafts by teaching a friend (or two or three . . . ) to create jewelry, accessories, art, or any other creative hobby that suits our fancy during National Craft Month throughout March. There's a lot of talent (and FUN!) in the website editors, magazine editors, book authors, and other designers who are active in these communities, and we want to share our love of crafts by sharing all that fun and know-how with potential crafters everywhere.

I've been doing all kinds of crafts since I was a little girl, and professionally since the mid 1990s. In addition to making jewelry (through wirework, silversmithing and soldering, metal clay, metal stamping, enameling, mixed-media, stone setting, and more), I also love scrapbooking, making cards and other paper crafts, doing mixed-media art, and knitting. So for National Craft Month, I'm teaching one friend how to knit, one basic metalsmithing and electroforming, and another how to use resin in her art and jewelry designs. Plus I love teaching all of you how to make jewelry all year long!

A winner has been chosen and listed in the comments below! Thanks to everyone who entered!
