Framed Leather Bracelet

When designing projects for her book Kumihimo Wirework Made Easy, author Chrisina Larsen was inspired to create a bracelet that elegantly incorporated leather and wire together.

The resulting Framed Leather Bracelet is a stunning design that utilizes the two materials together flawlessly. Two bands of cross kumihimo braid structures frame an internal band made by braiding wire and leather together. This creates a beautiful intricate-looking bracelet that is easier to make than it looks.

• 11’ (3.4 m) of 20-gauge wire
• 21 1/3’ (6.5 m) of 26-gauge wire
• 6’ (1.9 m) of 1 mm leather cord
• 2 ribbon ends (20 mm)
• 3 jump rings (5 mm)
• 1 lobster claw clasp
• Extender chain
