Mixed media is an arena where you’re free to push boundaries into failure, and failure is often the best teacher. Combining yupo paper and alcohol inks was a hard concept to comprehend—until I tried it! Then, it was hard to stop. And, so far, pieces that could look like failures have created some pretty fun resin jewelry.

5 Basic Steps for Creating Colorful Sheets for Resin Jewelry

Use these decorative sheets in your mixed-media designs, journaling, or in your jewelry-making. Cut shapes to fit premade bezels, place the shapes into the bezels, then top off the paper with resin to preserve and increase the depth of the colors. Don’t stop there! Add in other elements including additional text, images, or even natural elements.

With a few bezels and just one sheet of yupo paper, you could have gifts for your whole family finished in a snap (or as long as it takes the resin to cure).
