And, so far, pieces that could look like failures have created some pretty fun resin jewelry.

5 Basic Steps for Creating Colorful Sheets for Resin Jewelry

Spray a fine mist of blending solution across the surface of yupo paper. As you learn how the materials react and what you like, you can use more.

Drip alcohol inks onto the surface for additional impact.

Add/spray alcohol to create a shift in the inks(optional).

Sprinkle large crystal salt onto the inks (optional).

Once dried, spray mica and/or apply images through the use of rubber stamps and pigment ink.

Use these decorative sheets in your mixed-media designs, journaling, or in your jewelry-making. Cut shapes to fit premade bezels, place the shapes into the bezels, then top off the paper with resin to preserve and increase the depth of the colors. Don’t stop there! Add in other elements including additional text, images, or even natural elements.

With a few bezels and just one sheet of yupo paper, you could have gifts for your whole family finished in a snap (or as long as it takes the resin to cure).
