What Your Favorite Jewelry-Making Tool Reveals About You

I admit it. I’m one of those people — the ones who click on every test, survey, and article on Facebook that profess to tell you all about your personality. I love ‘em. So it occurred to me that your favorite jewelry-making tools could probably tell a lot about your personality. So here is my decidedly un-scientific, tongue-in-cheek look at what your favorite jewelry-making tool might reveal.
Hammers
If you’re a hammer fan, you are hard-headed and tough. People find you direct and extremely smart. After all, you always hit the nail (or the rivet) on the head!
Files
You’re a people pleaser, and you hate conflict. You’re definitely a peacemaker, one who likes to smooth out the rough spots.
Dapping block and punches
You’re smart and funny and exciting and multi-talented — an excellent cook, an artist, a good friend, and a supportive partner. In other words, you’re well-rounded.
Torch
You’re fiery, passionate, spirited, and spicy. And hot. Very hot.
Pliers
You are a control freak! You always try to make the world and everyone around you bend to your will. And it usually works.
Tumbler
You’re adaptable; you roll with the punches. And you’re a free spirit — a rolling stone, if you will. And you really like shiny things.
Jig
You love to work out and exercise. Bends and stretches and yoga are your favorite things. You’re always striving for the perfect shape.
Stamps
Well, let’s be honest. You’re a bit of an egotist. You like to make it all about you and put your . . . yes . . . stamp on everything. But you are definitely an individual and very unique.
Jeweler’s saw
Oh, you’re a sharp-tongued devil, able to cut other people with your words. But they always forgive you because you invariably make things right in the end.
So what’s your favorite tool? Does it fit your personality? Or do you just love all your jewelry-making tools? After all, it’s what you make with them that matters.
