Fill the Gap – Key Fob

This workshop will teach you how to braid using 7 cords instead of the 8 cords used in the basic round Kongo Gumi. The 7-cord structure is called Fill the Gap. It is much easier to learn than Kumihimo, but it has the same overall look to the finished braid. In this class you will create a key fob or zipper pull. You will learn how to braid with various types of beads that are commonly used in making jewelry. Learning the shorter key fob design gives you the skills needed for making bracelets and necklaces in less time. Sponsored by Sally Bead Jewelry.
