12 Holiday Earring Projects = Dozens of Festive Holiday Gifts + Unlimited Fun

I'm just going to say it: Earrings are the ideal piece of jewelry for gift giving.

Here's why:

  • Earrings always fit.
  • They're quick and easy to make.
  • They don't need to be a certain size like rings or some bracelets and necklaces, so you don't have to work extra hard for the right fit or find out sizes in advance.
  • Just about every woman wears earrings–and some men too!
  • They need very little supplies, so you can probably make bunches of them using what you already have.
  • It's super easy to make your own ear wires, too, so you won't run out of components you need.
  • You don't even have to make two earrings that match exactly anymore, which used to be the only "downside" to making earrings–having to make an identical pair.

So now that The Holidays Are Upon Us (seems important enough for caps, doesn't it?), I proclaim earrings the gift to make for all your girlfriends, aunts and grandmothers, mothers and daughters, wives and beloveds, cousins and in-laws, pedicurists and hairdressers, babysitters and dog walkers.

You're going to need a lot of earrings.

Fortunately, we have gazillions of earring ideas, and a dozen really special ones for the holiday season are in our eBook Create Christmas Jewelry: 12 Holiday Earrings. Whether your technique of choice is resin, epoxy clay, polymer clay, wirework, beading, metal stamping, coloring on metal, or all of the above, you'll have fun making these festive holiday earrings.

The projects in this eBook are a perfect way to use up leftover supplies in your stash. They're simple enough for quick easy projects you can make with the special kids in your life (especially these epoxy clay, glitter, and crystal Christmas trees) but also fun and festive enough to make them ideal for a crafting party with your friends. Just bake some cookies, make some cocoa, and put on holiday tunes. Voila! Gift-making party.

Of course not everyone likes to wear holiday-themed jewelry, so the bonus is that many of these earring projects can be modified (with the use of different beads, different colors, different stamps, different papers) to make them year-round fabulous.

Here's a few ideas on how you can do that:

Stamp a different design on the pearl disc earrings to make them year-round friendly . . .

. . . use bright-colored beads on the beaded star earrings to turn them into flowers instead . . .

. . . use different paper in the resin earrings to get across your anytime, anywhere message . . .

. . . and to make the ribbon angel earrings perfect for anytime–well, what day isn't a good day to have a little angel on your shoulder?

Bonus: You can make most any of these earring designs larger to create a pendant–or add a pin back to create a brooch. You could go even bigger and make treasured handcrafted ornaments, especially with these beaded snowflakes. Just use larger beads and follow the same pattern in the eBook. There are twelve projects and unlimited possibilities with the sweet holiday designs in Create Christmas Jewelry: 12 Holiday Earrings!
