After 25 years of publication, the Fall 2021 issue is the final issue of Beadwork. But we aren’t going away! We’ll continue to curate new beading projects online.

Beadwork Through the Years

So many talented people have contributed to Beadwork through the years. As Interweave founder Linda Ligon has said, the magazine was born from a lunchtime brainstorming session fueled by creative passion. Its lifeblood is the committed readers and gifted contributors, along with the dedicated editors, designers, illustrators, photographers, marketers, and advertising teams. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed inspiration, innovation, and creativity.

To celebrate two and a half decades of Beadwork, we asked this issue’s contributors to share their thoughts about the magazine (page 9). We’re also featuring as many projects as we could fit, with four new geometric-inspired projects and some of your favorite patterns from the past few years.

While we celebrate all that Beadwork has been, we’re also looking forward to its evolution. We hope you’ll join us by becoming a member of Interweave+, a subscription site that gives you access to the back catalog of issues, projects, and more. We’ve built a comprehensive library so you can easily find and down-load your favorite projects. Plus, new content is coming. We’ll continue bringing you the best beaded jewelry patterns from top designers.  

Looking Ahead

We’ve built a strong beading community over the years, and we hope you’ll join us on this new platform where we can show our works in progress, comment on favorite projects, and more. On Interweave+, there will be more opportunities to connect with your fellow beaders, the Interweave staff, and well-known beading designers. From all of us, we’re grateful to be on this journey with you!
