Beading Trends: Ooh La La Diamonds

As Marilyn Monroe said, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” I won’t deny she’s probably right, but I like to interpret it more broadly than the classic sparkly rock. It makes me feel fancy to use a faux diamond pen (affiliate link) with my special journal. And, I’m more likely to wear a beaded cuff with a diamond motif rather than sport a traditional tennis bracelet. Luckily for me, diamond patterns are popping up everywhere in beaded jewelry designs. It’s a beading trend just about anyone can get behind! Here are some ideas and inspiration for your next beaded jewelry adventure.

Gold Mine Earrings

Silke Steuernagel has a trendy take on the diamond shape. Her Gold Mine Earrings use a peyote stitch variation. The bead weaving pattern incorporates CzechMates beams to create an Art Deco effect. The colors are fantastic as-is or you can substitute your favorite combination. Imagine this design in Pantone’s Color of the Year, Living Coral, or muted tones of gray and silver.
