5 New Beading Projects You’ll Love

My New Year’s resolutions are more like a to-do list and I’m excited to have a fresh crop of new beading projects to try this year. Are you with me? New Year, New Beading Stitch

We’re thrilled to introduce beading maven Carol’s newest innovation with this Reversible Do-Si-Do bracelet. Learn a new flat stitch based on the thread path of polygon stitch. The unique thread path causes the beads to sit back-to-back (what the designer describes as “do-si-do”), resulting in a highly textured and reversible bracelet.

While Carol refuses to identify a single stitch as her favorite, she is on a mission to explore and expand the potential and appreciation for African helix and polygon stitches. Carol observes, “Both are tubular work, though I have devised a technique for flat beadwork, based on the thread path of polygon stitch.”

Introducing four new beadwork patterns with inspiring takes on peyote stitch!

Use seed beads and a variety of classic stitches to form these nature-inspired Kinetic Blossoms earrings that dangle from unique metal findings handmade with simple wireworking. This is Congying’s first project for Beadwork and we’re excited to see more!
