Yarn Spotlight: Cascade Yarns Spuntaneous

Although in some areas, temperatures are warmer, in many areas knitters and crocheters alike are digging out their heavier weight yarns. To me, there’s nothing better than projects made with yarns that feel like a giant hug. And that’s exactly how I’d describe Spuntaneous from Cascade Yarns. Coming in at a #6 super bulky/#7 jumbo, made of 100% extrafine merino wool, and available in 17 colors, this yarn is a single-ply strand of “Yum!”

Strand of Spuntaneous

Spuntaneous worn as an infinity scarf

In fact, this yarn is one that just begs to be unwound and looped around your neck as an infinity scarf or a cowl! If, however, you’d rather use your hook or some needles to create something with this awesome bundle of fibers, we recommend either the Amelia Hat for knitters or the Hi-Fi Hat for crocheters. Granted, Spuntaneous isn’t the yarn originally used in the project, but in both cases, we’re sure one hank will create the project.

No matter how you decide to use this yarn, we’re sure you’ll enjoy both the handling and the wearing. Also, please let us know at #yarnspotlight when you make this yarn into something scrumptious for the upcoming season!
