Cables and Celtic history fascinate me, so these had to be the inspiration for my Vika Afghan. Pronounced “Vee-kah,” the Celtic meaning is “from the creek,” which is fitting because I live near a creek. The log cabin construction of this afghan provides an unusual twist, and the central Celtic-style knot in applied I-cord adds further interest and is another fun technique to add to your repertoire.
