Treat Yourself With These Hooks Sets

I use my crochet hooks daily. For a tool that is in your hands in the evening on the sofa, on the commute to work, and maybe even during work meetings (I work for the best companies!), it’s worth treating yourself to the best. Next on my list of must-have purchases is a really nice set of interchangeable Tunisian crochet hooks. I love wood and the feel of natural materials in my hands, so I am in love with the Knitpro Ginger Tunisian Crochet Hook Set and Knitter’s Pride-Dreamz Tunisian Crochet Hook Set. These sets are gorgeous and I know will make working on a large Tunisian crochet smoother and more fun. It’s just exciting to work with beautiful tools!

Straight Tunisian Crochet Hooks

This straight Tunisian crochet hook was the hook that I was introduced to when I first heard the term “afghan crochet hook.” These long, smooth shafted hooks were frequently used for afghans—thus the extra long shafts. I actually remember my grandmother using a hook very similar to these for an afghan when I was little.

While people now frequently use tubes or cables attached to shorter rigid hooks, I still know people who prefer these straight hooks for some projects. And the best thing about this set is that you can get both the straight hooks and Tunisian hooks with flexible tubes. That way, you can find the perfect hook for any project.

Double-Ended Tunisian Crochet Hooks

If you don’t already have them, you definitely need to add double-ended Tunisian crochet hooks to your stash. These crochet tools have hooks of the same size on both ends of the shaft. Double-ended Tuniaisn crochet patterns create some amazing Tunisian colorwork designs.

If you haven’t yet tried this technique, I highly recommend it. The stitches are fun to work, and it’s magical to see the colorwork or textured design created as you work stitches on and off of the double-ended hook. I love the innovation in double-ended Tunisian patterns on the market today. The possibilities are endless, and these crochet hooks make me want to design my own pattern!

These double-ended crochet hooks are available in aluminum and bamboo, so you can even choose your favorite hook material!
