A sunken treasure is the inspiration for this afghan, the crochet stitches represent a blanket of ancient medallion coins framed by the lapping waves of the ocean. The crochet motifs are simple to make and easy to join as you go. The edging is worked in one row that meanders back and forth on itself for every swirling wave repeat. You start at the end of the last motif and work your way around the entire rectangular afghan and slip-stitch to join.
