Stitch n Pitch for a Cause

Help Support the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

When it comes to picking a favorite summer activity, baseball games are tough to beat. There's nothing like spending a warm afternoon day at the ballpark chowing down on a hot dog, drinking an ice cold beverage, and cheering on your favorite team!

Yes, baseball is still widely known as America's favorite pastime…but crochet is up there for us as well, obviously! Why not celebrate both? We have the perfect opportunity for you to do so: at Caron United's upcoming Stitch n' Pitch event

Caron United invites all crocheters to bring their yarn and hooks to the upcoming Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox game, taking place Sunday, May 31 at 2:05 PM. The Stitch n' Pitch allows crocheters to stitch patterns for Caron United's World's Biggest Stocking project right from their seats as they root for their favorite team!

This celebration of baseball and crochet will benefit the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which helps provide college educations for children who have lost a parent in military combat. In fact, a child who has benefited from the Foundation will be throwing out the first pitch at the game-something you definitely don't want to miss!

The event will also feature an array of awesome activities, from autographed baseball memorabilia giveaways to a meet-and-greet with the Texas Rangers. Celebrity crochet and knitwear designer Vickie Howell will also be on-site to greet Stitch n' Pitch participants.

If you're interested in attending the event, click HERE to purchase tickets using the passcode "rangers". And, be sure to check out the latest stocking pattern for the World's Biggest Stocking—remember, fifteen cents of every skein of Caron United yarn sold for the World's Biggest Stocking goes to the Children of Fallen Patriots' college fund.

Whether you can attend the Stitch n' Pitch in person or in spirit, every pattern counts! We hope you'll join us in celebrating this wonderful cause.

Best wishes,
