A generous cable makes a surprising sideways journey down the length of this chunky crochet scarf. A unique crochet cable method is worked in the middle of a single crochet fabric yielding a soft fabric with loads of drape.

FINISHED SIZE 6″ wide and 58″ long, excluding fringe.

YARN Bernat Roving (80% acrylic, 20% wool); 120 yd [109 m]/31/2 oz [100 g]; ): #15 squashed, 3 skeins.

HOOK Size M/13 (9 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS Stitch markers (m); yarn needle; piece of cardboard that measures about 11″/28 cm wide for making fringe (a notebook works well).

GAUGE 8 sts = 4″; 5 rows = 2 1/4″ in sc blo.
