LET’S PLAY – CROCHET VINTAGE – SIDEWAYS
Let’s begin this FREE PATTERN #9, gather your yarns and hooks, get yourself a cuppa, and let’s play, let’s have some crochet fun!
This week #9
I have another amazing and interesting crochet stitch for you, from my vintage 1970’s stitch collection. We are going to tackle a SIDEWAYS crochet stitch pattern. It is really very simple and once again you can change colour in every row if you wish.
I will show you how to crochet a swatch with the basic stitches and ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS REMEMBER to have some fun whilst crocheting this stitch.
I suggest you start with one (1) colour and then have a play with some colour changing, every row if you wish, and watch how the stitches stand out and create a lovely pattern.
YARN: Wendy Supreme Luxury Cotton 4ply
HOOK: E-4 (3.5mm)
NOTIONS: Scissors, Yarn needle
TENSION/GAUGE: Not critical to this pattern.
If using other yarn please use recommended hook on yarn label.
PATTERN NOTES: Swatch instructions are for one (1) colour. You can change colour every row OR whenever you wish.
You need to know how to crochet flat. Colour change is optional.
Stitch guide: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet.
This pattern is written in USA – American Crochet Terms.
