This vintage crochet motif is based on a doily from the trousseau of the designer’s mother; Doris tells its story in the May-June 2011 issue of PieceWork, where it is called the Yokahama Mama motif. The motif continues to offer up its lace goodness to projects, including this swingy crochet skirt.
