Red, White & Blue Crochet Patterns for the 4th of July

I love the crispness of crochet stripes, and when you pair red and white; blue and white; or even red, white, and blue alternating stripes, the stripes stand out in eye-catching designs. I am in love with the Going Ashore Shawl. It’s blue and white stripes are classic. You could even replace the touch of gold for a pop of red for an even more patriotic crochet shawl—perfect for keeping you warm while enjoying the fireworks.

Crochet stripes don’t have to be worked in solid crochet stitches through. The Saltwater Top creates colored stripes in an openwork crochet lace pattern. I can’t decide if I like this crochet top better in red and white or if I should crochet it in blue and white. What do you think?
