Preview the Special Crochet Accessories Issue
We are very excited to bring you our special issue, Interweave Crochet Accessories. Packed with 43 brand-new projects, this issue includes hats, scarves, socks, leggings, mittens, jewelry and more. You'll find 16 one-skein projects and some great stash-busters. I can't fit all the projects I love into this Enewsletter, but here's a peek at a few of the projects you'll find.
|Piper's Chain Scarf||Julia's Hat|
Marcelle's Fancy Neck Wrap has the appeal of freeform, with a ribbed neckband for a comfortable fit. Piper's Chain Scarf, inspired by construction-paper chain garland, has a clever seam-free construction. Julia's Hat has retro appeal in a design that works up quickly.
Family of Hats
|Sydney's Sideways Socks|
Great for teens, tweens and grown-ups, the Boyfriend Beanie gets all its color from self-patterning sock yarn. To make a bunch of hats in a hurry, check out Goldilocks's Family of Hats. Marty Miller explains the formula for making hats of all sizes in different weights of yarns with varying brims and details. Sydney's Sideways Socks are an engineering marvel, with exceptionally clever use of stitch heights and working in back-loop-only or both loops to alter stretch for a perfect fit. These are lounging socks rather than in-the-shoe socks, but you will want to wear them every day. And each size fits a range of feet, for a sure-to-fit present.
|One for All Family of Mitts||Beverly's Felted Tote||Nina's Beaded Scarf|
The One for All Family of Mitts is a collection of fingerless mitts in five sizes, from toddler to grown man. Beverly's Felted Tote might slow you a bit on the gift-giving front, because you'll want to make one for yourself before you make one for someone else. Play with the design possibilities of the mitered squares; the sample bag features a different arrangement on each side. Nina's Beaded Scarf is a gorgeous scarf perfect for a special friend.
