You can never have too many bags! I am constantly looking for bags to take with me on short trips, bags to carry my groceries, bags to carry my books from the library . . . bags for every occasion. As I flipped through Interweave Crochet Summer 2018, I couldn’t help but ogle all of the beautiful bags I love them all, but I’m especially excited about the Light of Day Tote, since it will be quick and easy to whip up in time for summer adventures.
This bag uses a unique yarn—an abaca-cotton–blend—that shines in the pattern’s open lace stitch. With an awesome chart and a large hook size, this tote also comes together quickly. Make it just in time for a trip to the farmer’s market or the beach—or, you know, the brewery. The Light of Day Tote can even work as a new project bag—although I might put in a liner so I don’t lose a hook!
The yarn also comes in a variety of colors, including blue, red, and yellow. I can’t decide between all the great colors, so I guess maybe I’ll make a bag in each one! You can’t have too many bags, right? What color will you make your Light of Day Tote?
