2 POWs in One Post: Textured Scrubbies & a Chunky Doily Rug

If you’re anything like me, your crochet queue is full to the brim with projects that you may or may not ever start and/or complete. When this is the case, sometimes it’s nice to come across a project that you could complete in one sitting. Wouldn’t that be great!?!

Well, if your to-hook list has you feeling a little overwhelmed, never fear: I have a couple of easy crochet projects that you can check off your list in no time! Yes, I know that this post is technically supposed to cover a Project of the Week (as in ONE project), but I couldn’t decide between these patterns. You’re just going to have to enjoy reading about more than one today!

Now that we’re getting into spring and summer is just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to add bright things to your décor, so the first project I want to focus on is the Textured Scrubbies from Interweave Crochet Home 2015. This eight-round pattern is the perfect kitchen brightener for summer. Worked in worsted-weight cotton, this project will stitch up so quickly, you’ll just have to make more than one for yourself, and possibly a couple more for friends and family.

Or make something that will add color to your floors instead of your sink. If this is the case, you’ll definitely want to check out the Chunky Doily Rug in Crochet at Home: 25 Clever Projects for Colorful Living. This rug is made in a worsted acrylic/wool blend that’s perfect for the wear and tear it will receive during its life on your floor. If you’re concerned about how long it will take, don’t be. Not only does it only have 19 rounds, but it’s also worked using an N/10mm hook and 3 strands of yarn held together. This combination means it will work up in no time!

Do you have a go-to quick-to-stitch easy crochet project? If so, what type of project is it? Let us know!

Happy stitching!
