Plaid Skirt

This delightful pencil skirt is flirty and fun in bright colors, but it can be worked in more subdued colors, or it can go classic in neutrals.  It is crocheted from the waist down so that the length can be easily customized.

Finished Size: 26 (28, 32, 36, 40)” waist circumference; 34½ (36½, 40½, 44½, 48½)” hip circumference. Garment shown measures 28″, modeled with 2″ negative ease.

Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (80% cotton, 20% merino; 215 yd [197 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): CW-840 lime light (MC), 3 (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins; CW-220 provincial rose (CC1), CW-625 terra-cotta canyon (CC2), 2 skeins each.

Hook Size: H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: St markers (m); yarn needle; 7½” or larger zipper; sewing needle and matching thread; ¾” button.

Gauge: 17 sts and 18 rows = 4″ in sc.
