Inspired by the colors of water and the depths of the ocean, I strived to show a foreground, middle ground, and background. Hexagons are very popular, but I wanted to use them with a twist. By orienting them point to point instead of interlocking them like a tile floor, negative space is created and then filled by the navy diamonds. The overlay picot round, the teal middle ground, and the dark diamonds make an interesting layering effect for this flat blanket.
