Pattern of the Week: Campo Vest
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had my eye on the faux fur trend this winter and spring! I’ve loved all the fluffy, soft coats, fleeces, and vests available at the stores. This is why I was so excited to see the submission for the Campo Vest from Arica Presinal for Interweave Crochet Spring 2019.
The Campo Vest uses the loop stitch, so you can achieve that fun, textured look with your crochet stitches. The awesome thing about this stitch is that one side has all of the loops from the loop stitches, while the other side looks like a standard crochet stitch. This means the vest is technically reversible. If you want to show off the fun texture of the vest, wear the loops on the outside. If you want to feel especially cozy with the fluffy texture on the inside, you can do that, too!
Because the texture of this vest is so extreme, we decided to feature it in a simple light gray color of Valley Yarns Charlemont, distributed by WEBS. However, if you’re looking for a more adventurous piece, consider making it in your favorite bright color, or even working it in stripes!
Campo Vest by Arica Presinal: Pattern Details
This design was inspired by vintage fashion. The loop stitch, sometimes known as the fur stitch, produces a fantastic fur-like fabric that can be dressed up or down, making the vest both versatile and trendy.
