Lacy Shell Scarf

This is a very elegant lacy shell scarf which is very easy to make and quick. All you have to do is repeat 2 stitches. That's why I love this pattern because I don't have to look at the actual pattern when making it. If you need to change the amount on the foundation chain just increase or decrease in multiples of 6.

Stitches Used:

HTR (Half Triple Crochet)

Wrap yarn twice around needle, YO and pull through, YO pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through all 3 remaining loops.

HTR Shell= [2 htr, chain 1, 2 htr] in next stitch

The Blue Scarf

Hook Size: I

Finished Size: 7 inches wide x 51 inches long

Yarn: Bernat Berella “4” Worsted Weight

Gauge: 3 ¾ sts per inch

Chain: 26

Multi Colored Scarf

This yarn is made by Michaels..Impeccable Loops & Threads

Used the following yarns

  • Forest (green)

  • Heather (cream colored)

  • Topaz (Darkest color)

Change yarns every 8 rows

Foundation Row: 1 htr in 5th chain from the hook (counts as 1st htr here and throughout), 1 htr in each stitch across the row

Row 1: Chain 4 (remember to count this as 1st htr), turn, then skip next 2 sts, *1 htr in next stitch, skip 2 sts, 1 HTR shell in next st. skip 2 sts* repeat *-*

Row 2: Chain 4, turn, 1 HTR Shell in center of first HRT Shell (just go to the first ch-2 sp), 1 htr in next 1htr (do this by skipping the next 2 sts which are part of the shell)

Repeat rows 1 & 2

Your basically building shell on top of shell and “1 htr” on top of the “1 htr”.
