Lacy Heart Garland
This pattern is in fact a braid – worked in one piece, as long as you want!
It makes use of bobbles to make the little shell between the hearts, as well as another bobble along with basic stitches that form the heart itself. Makes for some interesting crocheting! And once you get into it, it works up pretty fast.
I’m hanging my heart braids around the house, as well as giving some to friends for them to decorate shelves, doorways, or mirrors!
The pic here shows the braid made in a cotton thread weight yarn, Coats Puppets, and I used a 1.75 mm hook.
But worry not! If you prefer working in a thicker yarn, you’ll be glad to know I’ve also made this in a lovely dark purple DK yarn – Rico Design Essentials, also cotton, with a 3.5 mm hook, and it came out supremely well!
Simply choose a yarn that will show off the lacy stitches of this piece if you can, because it’s well worth it.

The pattern is written in both US and UK terms, and there’s an 8 Step Photo Tutorial on that page too, so you can see exactly what to do.
Thanks for looking – and I hope you enjoy the pattern!
