Interweave Crochet Summer 2018: Basking Crossbody Bag
Reading the bio for designer Ashlyn Holmes reveals not only that she is an environmental scientist, but also that she enjoys gardening and languishing in nature. It seems absolutely appropriate, especially considering the earthy vibe of her Basking Crossbody Bag. This tangible gateway to summer fun is one of four projects in Interweave Crochet Summer 2018‘s “From the Tropics” collection.
This bag is charming in simplicity of execution (worked in two pieces in the round, then seamed together), and in choice of material. The hemp cord creates a striking presentation in a rather small package, and the neutral colorway makes this accessory viable for almost any summer event.
Not sure what to carry in your Basking Crossbody Bag? I’ve got a short list of suggestions for you here, none of which you have to take:
– Tickets to an outdoor concert
– Keys to a top-down Jeep Wrangler
– A packet of sunflower seeds for random, Johnny Appleseed-type planting
– Lip gloss
– A list of the supplies you need to make your next crochet project
Also, call me crazy, but this little bag would be the perfect accent to the outfit you hope to wear this summer to the destination wedding you hope to be invited to. Amiright?
Whether you’re traveling for the summer or running errands at home, the Basking Crossbody Bag is the perfect companion for all your summer adventures. Take Interweave Crochet Summer 2018 along for the sweet, sun-filled ride. Your warm weather wardrobe never looked so good.
