Pattern of the Week: Swank Scarf and Cap Set

A slouchy hat-and-tasseled scarf set is just what everyone needs this fall. While you may not think you need one, you’ll think again once you check out this pattern! Registering a 2 on the skill-level scale, the Swank Scarf and Cap Set from Interweave Crochet Fall 2018 is not only easy enough to challenge a beginner, but it is also interesting enough that someone at a higher skill level will enjoy it.

In addition to the simplicity of this pattern, the other thing that will draw your attention is the yarn. Well, it actually uses two yarns, Sugar Bush Chill and Sugar Bush Bold, which complement each other so well that it’s like they were meant to work together. The colors also play well together, and the way Alla Koval paired them with Chill accenting Bold, we’re sure you’ll love the combination, too!

As for the stitches, these patterns won’t tax your concentration; each piece uses a combination of puffs and chains to create an intriguing design. Another perk is that each piece is embellished in fun ways: The hat has a giant pompom and the scarf has a tassel at each corner.

All in all, this pattern will create a set you’ll be proud to add to your wardrobe.

Happy stitching!
