Interweave Crochet Winter 2019 is Here!
One winter day a couple of years ago, I was bundled up for a walk through the crisp Colorado snow to meet a friend for coffee in the historic part of town. As I bustled through the streets decorated for the winter holidays, something bright and colorful caught my eye. One of my favorite sculptures on a cold street corner was wrapped in a colorful crochet scarf! Attached to the scarf was a small note that said, “I am not lost! If you’re in need of warmth, take me!”
Just seeing that scarf left for someone in need was enough to warm my heart, and I had one of those moments when you feel perfectly happy with the world and lucky to find yourself in just the right place at just the right time. By the time I walked past the statue a few hours later, the scarf had found a loving home.
This issue of Interweave Crochet warms my heart in the same way that crochet scarf did years ago. We have accessory projects ready to be made as gifts, to wrap you in warmth and style, or even to leave on statues with a note. We have adorable sweater patterns for cuddling in your favorite coffee shop, and we have projects to warm your home.
