From tomorrow’s (??) New York Times Fashion & Style section:


“I have this great picture of the cell of some guy who belonged to the crochet club in prison,” said Phyllis Kornfeld, the author of “Cellblock Visions: Prison Art in America” (Princeton University Press, 1997). This particular inmate had crocheted covers for all the objects in his cell, including the toilet, using red, white and blue yarn. “That was pretty Martha Stewart,” Ms. Kornfeld said.

 

Read the article. Very crafty, those inmates.
