Icicles Baby Hat

Introduction

Keep winter babies warm and toasty with this cute snowflake hat!

The pattern uses blossom stitch for the main portion of the hat because it’s a pretty kind of lace which is dense enough to be nice and warm.  The icicle fringing is optional – you can just do the first round for a scalloped edge and add an applique leaf or two for an autumn version, or flower for a springtime version.

Materials List

For a newborn size (14inches circumference): Size 3.5mm hook, 80m dk yarn

For a 1yr old size (18inches circumference): Size 4.5mm hook, 120m dk yarn
