  •   Sport or baby weight yarn (Fine 2) (Such as Bernat Softee Baby: The yarn in the photo is Bernat 31306 Baby Baby.)
  •   Yarn needle to weave in ends

Finished Size

5 ¾ in. from crown to tip of edging; approx. 15-in. circumference at brim when not stretched

Gauge

9 dc and 6 rows = 2 inches (Precise gauge is not essential.)

Notes

The size of the cap can be adjusted slightly by using a larger or smaller hook or by changing your gauge. For variations, or when you don’t know if the baby is a boy or a girl, try other variegated or self-striping multicolored yarns.
