And Fall/Winter 2021 and Spring/Summer 2022 have been no exception. While a few pieces on the runway were a bit avant garde, you can create that same layered effect with the Dream on Duster or the Arroyo Seco Top.

Granny Square Stitch

Jil Sander’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection deconstructs the granny square. She worked the chain 3, 3 double crochet in the next chain 3 space pattern. This method is commonly associated with granny squares and used to design a bold vertical stripe pattern. Jil used it to create an eye-catching sweater, dress, and even a pair of fabulous pants!

With the terrible uncertainty gripping the world as I write this, I find myself craving the warmth of a granny square afghan and the hug of a crochet sweater.
