Crochet for Fallen Patriots with a Free Pattern
St. Patrick's Day has come and gone in a flash, and some parts of the United States are beginning to see the first signs of spring. Rising temperatures, blooming flowers, and melting snow … there's something truly magical about this time of year!
To add another element of magic to the season, Caron United has partnered with the Children of Fallen Patriots to help provide college educations to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
To reach their goal, the two organizations are inviting knitters and crocheters to help craft the World's Largest Christmas Stocking. Yep, you read that right—we know that Christmas is still a long way off, but it's a project that lasts all year!
Each month, we'll be releasing a new free pattern to knit or crochet that will ultimately end up on the stocking. But before you get started, be sure to pick up some Caron United yarn at your local craft store-fifteen cents of each skein will go toward the Children of Fallen Patriots' college fund.
Check out the latest pattern (at left), then purchase your yarn from Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michael's, or Walmart. Or, visit Yarnspirations.com/CaronUnited to purchase. Once your 3 x 3-foot pattern square is complete, mail it to:
