Christmas Tree made with Crocodile Stitch
This is a cute Christmas Tree. You can add beads etc to it, if you wish. It will stand alone or you can use a cone from cotton yarn or a buy one at a craft store. There are patterns on the internet for small stars. You can crochet a star or put a large star button on the top.
I use Vanna’s Choice 100% acrylic in Dusty Green.
For the star I used a scrap of Caron gold yarn.
Tree is 7 inches tall and star was 1″ tall. Tree is 3″ across center of bottom or 4 3/4′ around the circle
Because you change hook sizes, no gauge is given.
Stitch information is listed in the pattern. Also for easy instructions to do crocodile stitch, see www.youtube.com or this free stitch eBook from Crochet Me. I used this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MMPLqDMUuA The demonstrator is Teresa, the Crochet Geek. Her video is very easy to follow on how to make the stitch.
