A Holistic Approach
Here's my ripple after four days. I think I hate the colours, but I love the blanket. I will not rip back, and I will not stop pulling yarn out of my bag at random. This project, more than any other I've made, is one for which the process is leaps and bounds more important to me than the product.
To say the last week has been a downer would be an understatement. I really don't feel like sharing the details, but suffice it to say little work has gotten done, lots of sharing and caring has gotten done, and the ripple has kept me sane.
The repetition is soothing, as are the soft, lovely yarns. (Except for the brown; that stupid stripe of brown was hard to see.) It's kept my hands busy, which has kept my mind at ease. It's also kept me feeling productive despite my inability to get any meaningful work done.
I'm looking forward to next week. I'm looking forward to feeling better, myself, and I'm looking forward to our whole family feeling better. I'm looking forward to our refrigerator no longer being broken, and hopefully for the engine light in our car to be addressed appropriately.
I'm good at handling crises. I'm flexible and keep a cool head. Mr Cme has single-handedly taken care of me and both of his parents this week, and I'm looking forward to next week when I'll be able to help, and also send him off for some much-deserved fun and relaxation.
He and this blanket have kept me calm and healthy. I couldn't be more grateful.
Have a fabulous weekend, everybody!
