1,600 Crochet Patterns and More Reasons to Love Interweave+

I have a confession—I’ve never been someone who subscribes to magazines. Not even Interweave magazines. My mom and I would hit our local yarn shop each time a new issue dropped and thumb through the pages together, assessing how many crochet patterns in each issue we could see ourselves making. To justify the cost of the magazine, we usually needed to find three patterns in the issue we had to have, otherwise, it seemed better to wait and buy the desired patterns as standalones.

The Math Is In

When I first started exploring Interweave+, I was reintroduced to hundreds of crochet patterns from past issues of Interweave Crochet—over 1,600 patterns, actually. I immediately started adding those patterns I need in my life to my “favorites” list. That list has grown quite large, and friends—the math is in. The cost of the annual subscription to Interweave+ is a far better bargain than purchasing these patterns one at a time. Plus, I can change my mind. I can’t be the only one who’s purchased a pattern, downloaded the instructions, and changed my mind about making it. With Interweave+, just pick another pattern and move on! Brilliant!

Favorite Crochet Patterns

Let me just give you a peak at a few of the projects I suddenly have to make. Although it’s currently 93 degrees in Denver, I stepped on some crunchy leaves the other day, so I’m in full-on sweater-weather mode. I’m a little obsessed with the Waldo Sweater by Peter Franzi. Sure, it’s technically a men’s sweater, but that won’t stop me. I just have to pick out some fun colors. Next up is the Curry Cable Jacket by Pricila Gomes—it’s classic bomber shape is everything I need for fall. And finally, my teenage niece tells me bucket hats are back in style, so this seems like the perfect time to revisit the Allspice Hat by Kathy Merrick.

Crochet Community

There’s another aspect to Interweave+ that’s hard to put a dollar value on—community. This new platform gives us, the Interweave staff, and you, our community, a chance to connect. Each crochet pattern features a discussion board where you can upload photos of your works in progress, share updates, and get help when you’re stuck on a pattern. Even if you’re not working on a specific project, you can jump into our Crochet Community board and introduce yourself. We’ll use this as a space to share interesting articles, talk favorite techniques, and just generally share our mutual love for crochet.
