Yggdrasil — The Nordic Tree of Life, that which holds aloft the warrior's paradise, Valhalla. It is a sign of support, as well as a sign of the obvious life, and it is no surprise that this particular piece was designed around both.
My first one-of-a-kind rosary, crafted around the silver tree that acts as its centerpiece. It's also the first 'convertible' rosary I've made; the 'crucifix' piece below the centerpiece does come off.
All the beads are glass, save the pumice pieces surrounding the green glass wire-framed 'fruit' that are centered in each Our Father set. There are two different kinds of leaf beads, as well as the wire-framed green 'fruit' beads and (mashing Kabbalistic views) blue swirl beads to depict the ten sephirot on everyone's Tree. The little bird charm came with the tree centerpiece and sits in the exact middle of the main loop and the 'crucifix' is a really big glass leaf dusted on the INSIDE with gold glitter. It's really kinda neat and fits with the theme.
While I can make something similar to this rosary, I cannot make it exactly like this; that was the last tree charm on the wall, as well as the last green leaf that acts as the crucifix piece.
Five and a half hours of working on it. It is not for sale as it was my mother's birthday present.
