Trends: Swarovski New Product Launch Spring/Summer 2019
Twice a year, Swarovski launches a new sparkling collection featuring products designed to suit the upcoming fashion trends. The new shapes, colors, and finishes in the Spring/Summer 2019 Innovations tie to the global themes of travel, culture, leisure, freedom, and adventure. The overall theme is titled “Wanderlust.” Several of the bead and jewelry team were fortunate to attend the Spring/Summer 2019 Innovations and Trends presentation while in Tucson and it was inspiring.
The presentation is held at the luxurious Westin La Paloma Resort. Once on site, you’re escorted to the event via golf cart. This short ride allows time to admire the grounds and take in the breathtaking views. Once inside, “work” begins and you sit with rapt attention while treated to the view inside — lots of sparkle and color!
The launch includes a look at the new Swarovski crystal products, information from Swarovski’s trend analysis, and how the new products fit into the world of fashion and accessories. Some of this information is conveyed through the use of “flags” which show how the products can be applied. In addition to the flags, there are also finished jewelry designs made with the products hot off the press. I mean this seriously. When the sample jewelry designs were first made, it was with the only samples available at the time! Real inventory is not available until after the launch, and that is only on a first come first served basis.
