Spring Essentials

It gives me great hope that the official first day of spring tomorrow will bring the sunny days and warmer temps that many of us have longed for during one of the wettest, coldest winters in recent memory.

So get ready to bust out your flirty skirts, shorter sleeves, and colorful accessories! In honor of the first day of spring, I've collected a few of the season's hottest accessories to inspire you to pack away your sweaters and set your warm-weather attire free!

Styles with a nod to yesteryear are still in vogue. Check out this vintage-inspired Blue Riviera dress from Boden USA.

These sassy sandals from Anthropologie are sure to brighten up any outfit!

I've got a feeling that my wardrobe is in desperate need of a pair of these ankle matchstick jeans from Garnet Hill in candy colors.

Put away your fleece and knit infinity scarves–this Lilly scarf by J. Crew is a spring standout with its brilliant yellow hue.

The tassel trend is still going strong. Read the feature article in this spring's issue of Jewelry Stringing to see how to make four of our favorite styles.

Fashion forecasts have predicted the color green to be particularly popular this year, as Jewelry Stringing contributor, Anne Vaughan, so beautifully displays in her Mint Julep necklace (see our Spring 2014 issue).

And incorporating almost any type of fiber into your jewelry designs in on trend. All Tied Up, by Ashleigh Becker, demonstrates a playful use of colorful embroidery floss (see Spring 2014 Jewelry Stringing).

No matter what part of the country–or world–you live in, here's hoping spring will bring you a sense of renewal and vigor.
