Seasonal Color Trends: Transition Jewelry Into Fall

One thing I like to do every season is start planning my craft and jewelry projects for the upcoming season. I know it's only July, but I wanted to create some pieces I could wear this summer and then transition into fall. After reviewing some of New York Fashion Week's runway videos online, I jumped right into a couple stringing projects. I noticed that fashion houses Alexander McQueen, Tory Burch, and Marc Jacobs all favored rich, bold colors balanced with slate grays, navy blues, and soft blacks for fall 2012. I used one of my favorite color combos, yellow and gray, with a bit of white to brighten up the look.

6 khaki 6mm pressed-glass rounds
2 light gray 6mm pressed-glass rounds
18 opaque white 10mm fire-polished rounds
5 gray jade 10mm rounds
16 golden agate 8-17×5-15mm nuggets
1 silver 23mm etched toggle
3 5/8" of silver 8-12×8-21mm unsoldered round-and-oval chain
24" of .019 beading wire

2 light grey opal satin 5x7mm crystal bicones
4 white-and-gray 8mm pressed-glass flat squares
2 translucent gray 11x13mm glass flat-twisted ovals
2 silver-plated 24-gauge 2" head pins
2 silver-plated ear wires
