Quick and Easy Beaded Jewelry Design Ideas for Great Holiday Gifts

This year, I decided to get a jump on my beaded holiday gifts. I can’t believe it, but I finished all of them earlier this year, and they’re all sitting patiently in my closet, waiting for the holidays to roll in!

Obviously, this is a big deal for me. I’m usually the gal who ends up pulling all-nighters two days before Christmas, trying to finish stitching up my holiday gifts for friends and family. My intentions are always good, but you know, life always just seems to get in the way between me and my holiday gift list.

If you haven’t started stitching up any holiday gifts yet, don’t fret – it’s really not too late to get started. We’re only at the beginning of October, so that leaves us two whole months to whip up some truly fabulous beaded jewelry design ideas for our holiday gifts. Chances are, you already have everything you need to get started, so there’s no excuse for putting it off. Dive into your stash of seed beads and glass beads and get inspired with some of these great beaded jewelry design ideas!

DAISY CHAINS

Daisy chains are fast, cute, and trendy – what else could you ask for when looking for beaded jewelry design ideas for the holidays? I love the Maisy Daisy necklace by Jean Campbell from Quick + Easy Beadwork 2014. Make it fun and casual in bright hues, or go for something more refined and elegant when you work it up with metallic seed beads.

Leather has been popping up in new trendy beaded jewelry designs for quite a while now, and I’m fully embracing this trend. Michelle Mach’s Gold Rush cuff bracelet uses cornerless cubes and a pre-made leather bracelet band to make a quick and easy beaded bracelet that will never go out of style.

Earrings are a great choice for handmade holiday gifts. Why? They’re easy, they work up fast, and chances are, you can make earrings for just about everyone on your gift list using beads and beading supplies that you have right now! These Pellet Posies earrings by Michelle McEnroe use crystal pearls, pellet beads, and a super-easy netting technique to create a flowery motif.

BEADED RINGS

I’m all about statement rings. I don’t have the chance to wear them too often, but when I do, look out! I’ve got some pretty spectacular handmade rings to show off on my nimble little fingers, and I’m always on the lookout for new and unique pieces to add to my collection. This fabulous Cinquefoil Ring by Marla Salezze is an innovative combination of netted beadwork and bold ring bezel that can be adapted to many different sizes for many different tastes.
